Renae Clements

Executive Director

Renae Clements has served as the Executive Director of Girls Place beginning with its inception over 25 years ago. She began the Girls Place hoping that she could create a safe place for young girls to learn and grow in order for them to have bright futures. She is the first and only Executive Director in the history of Girls Place.


Christi Arrington

Program Director

Christi Arrington has been the Program Director at Girls Place for over 7 years. She is directly responsible for the success of the After School and Summer Day Camp programs, as well as any specialty classes that are offered at Girls Place. Christi has developed multiple partnerships around the community to bring in programs for the After School and Summer Day Camp that have greatly contributed to their success.

Taryn Buckley

Athletic Director

Taryn was born in New York, New York, raised mostly in Kissimmee, Florida, but now calls Gainesville home. She is a graduate of the University of Florida earning both her bachelors and masters degrees in Health Education and Behavior. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Health and Human Performance focusing primarily on the evaluation of health programs in non profit agencies. She’s a Certified Health Education Specialist. Taryn is also an instructor at UF teaching Personal and Family Health each semester. She has been with Girls Place, Inc. since June 2008.

In her free time, Taryn enjoys traveling with her husband, Dante and spending time with their three dogs Koda, Kenai and Roxy. If not at Girls Place, you’ll be sure to find the Buckley’s on campus cheering the Gators on!
